Ehatare Retirement and Nursing Home

Providing You with Quality Care in an Estonian

Family-oriented Residence for 40 years

Ehatare Retirement Home was built by the Estonian Relief Committee in Canada to serve the needs of the aging Estonian population. The facility was completed at the end of 1981, with the first residents moving in in January of 1982. The Nursing Home, fourth floor addition, was opened in March, 1995.

Ehatare Retirement Home is now offering upgraded boutique style single rooms, suites and couples rooms. The Nursing Home has 32 beds, creating a small family-style community. A separate dining room and a bright solarium with a panoramic view surrounded by nature create an uplifting environment. Each room has a private bathroom, closet and oak furnishings.

This facility endeavors to enhance the quality of life of our residents. We believe that through the provision of a safe, modern facility and competent, caring staff, our residents will have the best possible experience every day.

In the provision of health care services, we will, to the best of our ability:

  • recognize and respect the dignity and uniqueness of the individual;

  • serve the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of our residents;

  • encourage family, friends, volunteers and other members of the community to become involved in the lives of the residents;

  • maintain high standards, compliance and co-operation with local health care facilities and regulatory agencies;

  • encourage our employees to achieve their full potential through participation in educational programs aimed at keeping current, and enhancing appropriate knowledge and skills.
